Trademarks and attribution
Last updated: 4 July 2026
This page states, in one place, how KeepChats refers to other companies' products, and why. It exists so that anyone — a user, a platform, or a lawyer acting for one — can see the position without having to infer it from the rest of the site.
Whose marks these are
Reddit and the Reddit logo are trademarks of Reddit, Inc. Telegram is a trademark of Telegram Messenger LLP. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Slack is a trademark of Slack Technologies, LLC. Signal is a trademark of Signal Messenger LLC. WhatsApp and Instagram are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc. App Store, iOS and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google Play, Android and Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC. Every other product name that appears on this site is the property of its respective owner.
Why those names appear here at all
KeepChats works with conversations that happen on other people's platforms. There is no way to tell you which ones it works with, or to write a guide about doing something on one of them, without naming them. That is the whole reason they appear, and it is the only reason.
We hold ourselves to three rules on this, and they are worth stating plainly because they are the difference between describing something and trading on it:
- Only where necessary. A platform is named to say what KeepChats is compatible with, or to describe a task someone is trying to do. Never for decoration.
- Only the name. We do not use anyone else's logo, wordmark, icon, typeface or brand colour. Our own colour was deliberately moved away from a value that was close to another company's brand colour, precisely because proximity alone can imply a connection.
- Never as our identity. No platform's name appears in our product name, our app names, our extension name, our domain, or our logo. We do not describe KeepChats as being "for" or "by" any platform.
What we do not do
- We do not claim partnership, endorsement, certification, or official status of any kind.
- We do not present ourselves as any platform's own tool, or use naming that could be mistaken for one.
- We do not ask for, receive, store, or transmit your password to any other service. There is no field for one anywhere in the product.
- We do not collect other people's conversations. KeepChats works on conversations you are a participant in.
Your own responsibilities
Your agreement with any platform you use remains between you and them, and using KeepChats does not change it. You are responsible for using KeepChats in a way consistent with those terms, and with the law where you live — including the law on recording and retaining communications, which differs by country. Our Terms of Service set out what you may and may not do with KeepChats.
If you own one of these marks
If you believe anything on this site or in our products uses your trademark in a way that goes beyond describing compatibility, we want to hear about it directly rather than through a filing. Write to support@duskel.com with the specific page or screen and what you would like changed. We read these ourselves, we respond, and where the point is fair we change it — that is cheaper for both of us than the alternative.
