Installing KeepChats
KeepChats runs on three surfaces and they share one account. You do not need all three — pick whichever matches where you read your messages, and add the others later if you want them.
Which one should I install first?
If you mostly read messages in a browser, start with the extension: there is nothing to set up beyond installing it, and keeping a conversation is a single click. If you mostly read on your phone, start with the mobile app — it is the only surface that can record and send video and voice notes. The web panel needs no install at all; sign in and it is there.
Browser extension
Install it from the Chrome Web Store, then open a conversation. A small KeepChats control appears beside the thread once it detects one. Pin the extension to your toolbar if you want the side panel one click away. It works in Chrome and in Chromium browsers that accept Chrome Web Store extensions.
iOS and Android
Install from the App Store or Google Play, then sign in with the same account. On first launch the app asks only for the permissions it needs for what you actually use: photo library and microphone are requested the first time you send a video or a voice note, not up front.
Web panel
Go to keepchats.com and sign in. Everything you have kept that was synced to your account is listed there, along with your plan and billing. There is nothing to install.
